A Bristol man known as “Saint” has been convicted by a federal jury of sex trafficking and related crimes after a trial revealed years of violent abuse against multiple women, federal authorities said.
David Marshall, 40, was found guilty of forcing women into prostitution, using beatings, rape, addiction, and threats to control them, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. One of his victims testified that between January and April 2022, Marshall made her perform sex acts for his financial gain. US Marshals arrested a wanted Connecticut man charged with violating a protective order, authorities announced.
Jeremy Colonghi, 47, of New London, was charged with stalking, criminal violation of a protective order, harassment, disorderly conduct, and refusal to be processed, police said.
Waterbury police, working with Marshals and Groton officers, arrested Colonghi in Groton on Friday, May 2.
Colonghi was being held on a $215,000 bond, authorities said.
He was wanted on an outstanding failure to appear warrant.
